Just a brief note about this new 'Telltale Games style' video game.

I had zero expectations for this game, and having played through it about halfway so far, I can confirm that in many ways it hasn't impressed me. The daft thing doesn't even have an option to invert the camera's Y-axis (though this has been promised as part of the first patch).

There are some minor sound/subtitle bugs, many tedious QTE-style gameplay elements, numerous nonsensical plot points, some truly bad dialogue, and very little genuine choice throughout the story.

HOWEVER - as a mild spoiler - please note that the overarching plot of the game revolves around a biological form of possession, mind control, and personality/memory transformation. Yes really. It's like Tabico wrote a Star trek mini series. XD

So like, for me at least, not all bad!

I haven't yet found a way to force the main characters to fail in their mission so hard that they get permanently turned into obedient meat puppets for the card-carrying evil villains, but I haven't given up hope just yet.

Yes - in short, it's one of "those" sci-fi plots. The sort of mainstream thinly-veiled mind control fetishism that I usually only expect from David Cage these days, now that Bioware has long since gone to the dogs.

I know I'm ultimately going to be disappointed, and there of course will not be a story branch where your character(s) can be possessed and join the bad guys. That's about as likely as Star Trek Online releasing the actual Borg as a playable faction. But at least the possibility is keeping me engaged with the game thus far!

And to be honest, as a side note, a few of the characters are quite fun regardless. Especially the Tril lady stolen directly from draphy's DA comics!

(Oh and there's a special kind of irony/hypocrisy to a Trill protesting against biological possession and transformation. That had me laughing.)

If the MCU's Infinity War had really happened, then this week is when all the snapped half of the people in the universe would have been brought back. Feels like a short five years, to be honest. Also, the lucky ducks missed all the Covid shenanigans. Personally I think they might have gotten the better deal! :D

I think I read somewhere you can now put explicit images behind the subscriptions/premium paywall? Did I imagine that, or is that a thing people do now?

Asking since if true I can (and therefore will) put the uncensored version of the naughty Fairy image in my Premium gallery.

Pixiv sent me a message today, stating they had censored/privated one of my images published over there. My reaction was "Ah...yes. Probably one of the pictures that I censored on DA, but then uncensored on Pixiv. Oh well."

As everyone knows, Pixiv is a cesspool of scum and villainy, with all sorts of highly questionable content that my stuff doesn't even begin to come close to, in terms of explicit content.

However, fair is fair. I can't just excuse something I've posted by pointing to things that I think are 'worse'. That doesn't help my case, plus it potentially gets someone else in trouble.

So then I clicked the link to the image they took exception to. It's this one -

Image 05 from the Detroit series. The one with Chloe standing in the main hall, nervously covering her nudity.

Umm. What? This one?! Why? :O

Part of me is laughing and suspects Pixiv have a problem with this image because a character is actually daring to cover herself. As in, "Good grief! We can't have MODESTY on this website! Delete that horrible image!"

The other part of me is just confused. It can't be someone objecting to Detroit BH fanart, otherwise they'd have flagged the entire series. But then, what could the reason be? Does "Zlatko" mean something hideous in Japanese? Is it the name of a political figure there?

Also, bonus points to Pixiv for singling out an image that displays "This isn't what I was expecting at all" at the bottom. Maybe they're just trolling me?

Anyhow. Very odd choice of censorship from them. I've replied asking them to perform a manual re-check of the image, because it's quite literally one of the tamest I've ever posted. Someone could just pick one of my images at random, and the odds of hitting one that's more explicit than this are like 150/1 in favour of success.

How odd.

Images 16 to 22 of "Famous Last Words" fell one message behind with the red announcement text, causing a repetition. This is now fixed (only took half an hour so hopefully not many peeps noticed).

TBH I also didn't like the way I warped the red speech box in 16 anyhow, so had a bonus result too.
